Q.

hi evryone hope all are in good health !? i got mundan done for my son at 9 months for the first time .. after a month now he has some hair growth but at 2 places he is not getting any hair now.. what can be the reason ??

A. Hair loss in babies is very common and because of many reasons. Because of the withdrawal maternal hormone initial hairfall is there. After birth all the hair of the baby remain in the resting phase and usually by 8 to 12 weeks of age shedding of hairs is there . Hairs will grow back mostly by 3-7 months but a proper quality hair will be there by around 2 years of age. Cradle f cap is also a cause for frequent shedding of hairsv. along with traction alopecia because of continuous pressure on head in lying position
