Q.

Hi Dr. my child is 2years and 3 months now but he speaks only papa and when we all are saying his name he does not react but when television or mobile phone plays cartoons he responds . Please suggest to us what to do and where to go .

A. interact with the baby more to improve the vocabulary b d And also it is advisable for the to consult your local doctor for appropriate advice in this regard if there is need for some investigations also depending on the need o k

A. Hai good afternoon !! If baby is not speaking minimum 50 words not responding to his name,or commands ,no direct eye contact not mingling with same age kids then need to concern. Avoid screen timing (mobile,, TV,PC ) as it effects eye sight , delay in speech. Consult developmental pediatrician or child psychiatrist or speech therapist.
