hi doctor my periods are 20 days late and I've taken the pregnancy test 4 times and it came negative. my son is 20 months old and since his birth my periods are irregular and I still breastfeed him a little at night and during his afternoon nap time. I've read that breastfeeding can cause irregular periods. so my question is is it normal or do I need to get checked?

A. can be normal but needs some evaluation. if there is no relief it is advisable to see the doctor for proper examination if there is need for proper investigations also both for diagnosis and treatment
