Hi doctor, my daughter s having cold since 10 days now. She s having fever only at night arnd 102 f since 2 days and she refuses to take food. Forcefully I'm giving water atleast. Now congestion have come down to caugh. How do I go about it further? should I be worried and take her to the hospital or wait for some more tym, pls advise.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold
In viral illness there can be cough and feverrn which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .
