Q.

Hi Doctor, My baby is 6 months old. I could see a patch on my baby legs not complete legs only some part. can you please look at the picture of it and advise.

A. this is dermatitis the thing about atopic dermatitis is that you have to apply moisturizing lotion as well as coconut oil or any type of moisturizing lotion again and again on the skin and then only the problem will decrease. this condition is only controlled and will decrease with increasing age of the child. your target is that whenever you see that the skin of the child has again become dry then again apply moisturizing lotion so that full 24 hours moisturizing is present on the skin of the child then only this problem will be controlled and then cured.

A. Dermocalm lotion is an anti itching formulation to treat mild itching conditions such as sunburn, eczema, rashes, poison ivy, Chickenpox, insect bites and stings. It contains Calamine and light liquid paraffin. Light liquid paraffin is used as emollient to prevent dryness of the skin.
