Hi doctor, My 2 year old baby is suffering from fever, from yesterday afternoon every 4hrs she is getting a fever of 99.8 or 100.5f like that.every 4hrs I am giving Adol(125mg/5ml) 6.5ml (doctor recommended in August month)so how long it will take to get normal. The baby is active, eating a little bit of what she likes and drinking water. Thanks in advance 🙏

A. 4 to 5 days the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
