Q.

hi doctor, can we give cold and cough syrup to baby ( below 3 months old) what will be the side effects if we give the cough and cold medicine? will it cause slowered breathing? My 3 and half month baby making gasping sounds while breathing but he is active all over the day. is it normal or anything need to treat?

A. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given. along with thatt cough expectorant and decongttestant with antiallergic medicine given. steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.

U Can you give medicine to the child but only suggested by your doctor because the doctor only can advise you to take medicine to go for and also the medicines prescribed by doctors if there are any would not have any side-effects so you can go ahead with that if you saying that your child is facing any issue then you’ll have to consult your doctor for that
