Hi Doc.... My Boy is seven months old...we are planning a trip to manaali.. previously in his third month he has developed dust allergy and had SOB Is it advicable to go for Manaali in this cool climate with my seven months old boy

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. If you have a choice of a different place, I would suggest to avoid Manali.
Three reasons
Though the roads are fairly well maintained, it could be fairly long journey both from Chandigarh or Shimla. You could take a flight to Kullu but the general reliability is low
The weather can be unpredictable, even in peak summer
Lastly there is very little for toddler to do in Manali, the place is achingly pretty, the snow sports can be great fun - but for an year old toddler that might be too much. One person will always need to lug the baby around. Specifically if you go higher up say Rohtang any amount of walking will exhaust you very quickly.
