hi doc, my baby is having 101.0 f fever from yesterday sometimes it comes to 99.5 then again it increases and she is having loose motions also .plz suggest what should I do..

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby girl is 7 months old and she is having loose motions and fever upto 101 degrees then you should give her ORS spoon by spoon and frequent breast feeding

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeatedds after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
