Q.

Hi Doc, My baby is 1 yr 2 months and she has not started chewing yet..everything she feeds is in liquid puree form and she vomits lot..if i try to gve in thick paste form then she does nt accept food...how to encourage her to chew..there are very limited food options that i can gve since I have to grind everything.

A. hi dear Your child may be having weakness or incoordination of muscles of chewing and swallowing, because of which he is able to take the liquids and cannot chew his solid food very well. If he is still taking milk feeds by bottle you should stop that and it may solve the problem to some extent.
