Q.
Hi All, My baby is 13 months old and he is having fever since Tuesday. His head is very hot all the full day. Giving paracetamol also . yesterday suddenly his hand made feet stiffened.consulted doctor they suggested it will continue 3/4 days . But I am so much worried as his full body is getting hot . pls suggest

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
armpit temperature of hundred or mxore is considered as fever
to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water.
higherx medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
