Q.

Hello my son is 15 months 7 days old, my major concern is that my son is still not walking independently. He is walking with support holding sofa and chair, side walks is easy for him, but if we hold his hand allow him to walk he just walks few steps and sits down. I am giving him massage every day, but still he is taking time to walk, is it a matter of worry please suggest.I am giving him oroferxt and d3 drops too.

A. a baby will start Sitting with support by 6 months of age and by 7 to 8 months baby will sit without support than by 9 months usually baby crawls and in 10 months baby will stand with support. After 12 to 15 months baby will start Walking independently and sometimes it may take even longer but in no casgge any Walker should be avoided as it can cause recurrent fall injury and delay in the walking because the child lacks confidence of walking independently.
