hello, my kid is almost 9years old, suddenly saying pain in throat not able to swallow anything and today morning he is having fever n headache. I have given him amoxcilin, procold, nice. what do do then? he is still not well

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. for throat infections you can give paracetamol for pain as well as fever and paracetamol can be repeated maximum four times per day and you can give warm water to drink and home remedies like to see ginger honey.
you can also go for warm fluids like warm dal , warm soup etc.
antibiotics is needed or not will be decided by the doctor after examination. it is advisable to remain in contact with the doctor for other medicines
give warm saline and turmeric gargles thrice daily
