Q.

Hello, my daughter is 4yrs old. We took her to ophthalmologist, coz she had some light sensitivity. Doctor advised to apply atropine ointment for 3 days for dilation. We stopped ointment on 31st August. Today is 3rd of September, she is unable to see the dots in notebook. Is this is the side effects of atropine? If yes, how long she will have this.

A. As far as I know this medicine is precisely used if you know like somebody has got a spectacles in an early age and the number could be high so sometimes the doctors give this medicine so that the number does not increase rapidly I am also using the similar medicine for my child but never face this kind of a problem with your daughter is having so I’m going to recommend you to kindly consult your doctor
