Q.

hello.. my baby girl is 2 months old. her weight at present is 3.285.. birth weight was 2.5. she is 1 month pre term baby. my question is shall I wake her up after every 3 hours for feeding or shall I do demand feeding now as she has crossed her birth weight...?

A. During first two months you should maintain a gap of two hours between two feedings. But after completing two months it is advisable to feed your baby only on demand and do not give any forceful feeding on particular timings The feeding should be done atleast 10 minutes. so yes even at night you should feed every 2 hourly till

A. No no you should feed your child on demand only that’s the correct pattern to follow and since your child is pre-term your child weight gain is also okay because the 700 g your child has gain so that’s decent enough as of now
