A. At around 8 months of age, it's not uncommon for babies to show signs of social development, including a willingness to interact with different people. Some babies are naturally more sociable and may feel comfortable with strangers, while others may be more reserved. Here are a few factors to consider: 1. **Temperament:** Babies have varying temperaments. Some are more outgoing and enjoy social interactions, while others may be more cautious or reserved. 2. **Attachment Development:** By 8 months, babies typically start to form strong attachments to their primary caregivers. However, they may also show interest in interacting with others. 3. **Individual Differences:** Each baby is unique, and their social behavior can vary. Some babies may be more independent and less affected by being held by different people. 4. **Comfort Level:** If your baby seems happy and comfortable interacting with different people, it's generally a positive sign of their social development. While it's normal for babies to show interest in and interact with different people, always prioritize your baby's comfort and well-being. Pay attention to their cues and ensure that they are in a safe and secure environment. If you have specific concerns about your baby's behavior or development, consider discussing them with your pediatrician for personalized guidance.
