Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. it's common behaviour
sleeping pattern in small children changes from time to time but will improve with increasing age of the child
you have to just see for any environmental factor which is affecting the sleep like temperature variations as well as the child might be having some digestion problem or breathing difficulty due to nasal blockage has to be looked into.
if the growth of the child is proper do not worry much about the sleeping pattern of the child as it always improve with time
you can increase the physical activity during the daytime as well as avoid more sleeping time during the day time and this will help in improving the night time sleeping time .
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. Feeding or rocking your baby are natural and gentle ways to help them fall asleep. If you nurse your baby to sleep, and they sleep well at night, you don't have to change anything! It's only when 7 month olds are waking twice or more every night that I suggest parents get their babies falling asleep on their own. It's quite usual for a seven-month-old to wake through the night. In fact, many babies continue to wake at night throughout the first year (Pennestri et al 2018). So you're not alone if your seven-month-old wakes at night. Although other babies may be starting to sleep through the night, it doesn't mean all babies do!
