Q.
Hello, I 2 month baby tongue having a "white thick layer" and 2 small white spot on lower lip. Anyone known about white thick layer.

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 2 months old and he is having his tongue having thick white coating so mostly it is a oral candidiasis and needs locally applied candid mouth paint two times a day

Chitradevi PMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Hi Mom, It is a oral thrush. It is caused due to drinking milk. It is common in new born babies. Nothing to worry. You can clean your baby's mouth by following these steps. Dip a gauze - or cloth covered finger into warm water. Gently open your baby's mouth, and then ligthly rub their tongue in a circular motion using the cloth or gauze. Softly rub your finger over your baby's gums and on the inside of their cheeks, too.
