Hello everyone..it's very much urgent ..mere 2.3 yrs bete ko fever or halka sa cold tha ..doc ke paas gyd usne antibiotics or fever ki medicine di ..jo 6 hours ke baad ke deni thi ..sath hi malaria ki medicine bi di ke agr fever bs utar tou after 2 days deni hai..maine by mistake malaria waali abhi dae di hai ..mujhe ab samaj ni aa rha ke mai fever waali ja antibiotics waali du ja nahi mere bete ko fever ho rha hai..ja mujhe nai deni chahiye

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated be after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations.
cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

Fever is reaction in the body towards any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only when the temperature is above 99F it is considered as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever in between the doses ,but if it continues even thereafter you should consult your doctor for proper trveatment. if the temperature is not controlled by paracetamol alone meftal p can be given in between as a single dose but only under medical guidance.these medicines will also work to relieve any pain or body achye to a good extent. but in case of infection in which the fever is associated with other problems also it is recommended to get the clinical assessment done and get a proper treatment done by a doctor.
