Q.

Hello Dr. My baby is 7 months old. Yesterday I took him to a private doctors chamber for his 6th months vaccines.Dr. gave him Influenza Vaccine.but the influenza vaccine is expired by January 2022.But my doctor didn't notice and put the vaccine yesterday on 6th June 2022.is that expired vaccines cause any side effects?what should I do now?? should I give him another dose of the vaccine or not?? if yes then after how many days it should be administered??

A. the expired vaccine will not have any proper effect as well as will not cause any side effect to the child but yes for effectiveness you will have to go for another flu vaccination and you can go for it immediately also

A. Still you can get it done. it's good to give it on time But to a week you can extend and to a week you can advance the date But Dont delay more than a week or ten days Certain vaccines have age limit too so make sure you don't delay a lot
