Hello doctor my son is 7 month old he has severe rash on both of his cheeks. What could it be the reason it started when he was 5 month old,I see lot of variations,sometimes it'll be low sometimes the rash will be severe. I'm applying only coconut oil to it. So please help

A. Sometimes drool can lead to a rash around the mouth, To keep drool from getting in contact with baby’s skin, do wipe the drool off often with a soft, gently cloth.  Apply a thin coat of a healing ointment like petroleum jelly...don't rub. If the rash is cracked, weepy, or causing your baby pain Consult your paedritician.
