Q.

hello doctor, my son is 44 days old. his weight at the time of birth is 3.3kg and when he was 26 day his weight is 4.5kg. but today his weight is again 4.5kg, when he is 44 days old. I am worried why his weight is not gaining while he is breastfeeding properly. please tell why this is happening?

A. no mam, their is no problem of breast milk supply. I think their is sufficient milk supply for my baby. Their is milk leakage also at some intervals (like when feeding time is near)

A. If the problem is your breast milk supply, take steps to increase your milk production. Besides breastfeeding more often, you can pump between feedings, add some milk-boosting foods to your meals, or try breastfeeding herbs or teas.If your baby's doctor thinks it's necessary, you may have to supplement your baby with additional feedings of either pumped breast milk or infant formula. You can also try to pump and separate your foremilk from your hindmilk. Hindmilk is higher in fat and calories, which can help your baby gain more weight.
