Q.

Hello Doctor, My daughter was diagnosed with UTI when she was 4 months 2 days old and they treated with antibiotics for 12 days. And my paediatricians asked me to give Sporidex 100mg drops 1 ml per day for 3 months. Now she is 7 months old and they asked me to continue the medicine till they take MCU test for her. Since it is an antibiotic I am very much worried about the side effects of my baby. Is it normal to take Sporidex for long period to treat UTI?

A. hello antibiotic for a long time is not really a good option and if possible it could be better to take second opinion by visiting any of the doctor nearby which would be better and also safe as the child is also small and would be safe top
