SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr old girl4 years agoA. your baby should have completed six months for any other foods like water or juice or even any other food. This is because only milk provides all the necessary nutrients. And early solid foods will lead to stomach upset and constipation. After six months. Try to start slowly with watery foods. initially you can start with simple purees and waters. These are easy digesting foods for baby tummy..like carrot, potato, banana and waters like rice or dal water. Then second week you can continue with other purees or combination of two fruits veggies, the third week you can give instant homemade rice cereal. Slowly you can add a veggie or fruit to the rice cereal this would give a different taste. Ensure to give a fruit and vegetable everyday. That will not lead to constipation.
