Q.

Hello Doctor, My baby is now 7 and half months old. I can see lower jaw teeth coming and he is doing poo frequently and not taking food as before. And bcoz of the poo force he is vomiting too.. can you plz suggest and advice us. Thanks & Regards Daisy

A. Hi babies suffer from loose motions during teething phase due to stomach infection as they tend to put everything in their mouth to chew on and get relief from itching in the gums caused by the erupting teeth. try to maintain proper cleanliness of the objects used by your child to prevent such problems.

A. To relieve the discomfort of teething, offer your baby a clean frozen or wet washcloth or a solid teething ring. If the crying continues, talk to your pediatrician about giving an appropriate dose of acetaminophen (Tylenol). You can also give ibuprofen (Advil) if your baby is older than 6 months.
