A. It's natural to feel concerned when your baby isn't reaching milestones like crawling or getting teeth on time, but it's important to remember that every baby develops at their own pace. By 11 months, most babies start crawling, but some may take longer, especially if they are learning to walk or prefer other methods of mobility, such as rolling or scooting. Similarly, the eruption of teeth varies widely, and while some babies get their first teeth around 6 months, others may not get them until closer to a year or beyond. If your baby is meeting other developmental milestones, such as sitting up, reaching for toys, responding to sounds, and showing curiosity about the environment, these are all positive signs. Encourage your baby’s development by providing plenty of tummy time to strengthen their muscles, playing interactive games, and offering safe spaces for exploration. If you’re worried about their development, it’s always a good idea to discuss your concerns with your pediatrician. They can assess whether your baby's development is within the typical range and advise you on any necessary interventions or exercises to promote crawling and other milestones. Remember, each child’s timeline is unique, and variations in developmental progress are completely normal. Stay patient and supportive, and your baby will reach those milestones in their own time.
