Q.

Hello Doctor, I'm an expecting mother (36W) this is my 3rd pregnancy. When concieved I was 43-44kg, now I'm 59kg. Is my weight gain normal or should I stop gaining weight? (I never gained so much weight in previous pregnancies) And on my top right side of stomach I feel uncomfortable like something poking which I feel like to push down, I can't sleep on left side nor on right side. Please Advise.

A. Thank u Dr.Ghouse But my gyno always makes me scared by telling "everything is normal but at last moment we can't say anything, we have to be prepared, we can't say it'll be a normal delivery or C-section! 😔 My two deliveries before were normal Alhamdulillah, now my doc words makes me scared and worried about any little uncomfort I get.

A. probably you have gained little bit more weight for the pregnancy For further advice it is advisable to consult your local doctor for appropriate examination if there is need for investigations also then only proper treatment can be given to you o . K .

A. A woman who was average weight before getting pregnant should gain 25 to 35 pounds after becoming pregnant. Underweight women should gain 28 to 40 pounds. And overweight women may need to gain only 15 to 25 pounds during pregnancy.
