having 5day cold and cough. is it normal

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. give nasal saline drops every few hourly to the child in the nasal cavity.
try to prevent temperature variations around the child
you can go for indirect steam inhalation which will again help in decreasing both cough asnd cold
continue the regular diet of the child
if there is no improvement in few days then meet your doctor
for fever and pain give paracetamol.
anti-cold msedicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.

NikithaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. hello yes cold can even last for a week and cough even a lil more and u can put nasal drops or uee instant cold releif rub from Babyhug which is effective and any concern then it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better
