Q.

good morning doctor... my son is 4 months 19 days old.. he didn't recevie his 14 weeks vaccine yet due hernia surgery and cold etc... govt is giving polio vaccine now... should i take that or have to wait for 14 weeks vaccination ??

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programbme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine.

A. hello Mom polio drops can be taken at eighteen anytime of the baby age even before after raksons so please go ahead and take polio vaccine for your baby because it is important as per the government immunization plan
