Q.

good morning doctor... my son is 4 months 11 days old... he didn't receive 14 weeks vaccination yet... due toh hernia surgery and few other resons like cold... his vaccination was delayed... i vl schedule his 14 weeks vaccine after he recovers from cold... govt is giving polio vaccine now... should i take that now or should i wait for that 14 weeks vaccination?

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polivcxo immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine.
