Good morning doctor.! My baby is 3 months old there are hair on his ears, will it shed off itself or I have to do something?

A. Rest assured that the hair will fall out on its own by the time your baby is 4 months old. If it lasts beyond that though, talk to your pediatrician. Also, consult the doctor if your baby has a tuft of hair over her spine.Before you were born, your body had soft hair all over, including your ears. This is called lanugo. It can sometimes take a few weeks for it to go away, especially for babies who are born early.Lanugo is a natural part of fetal development, and it's perfectly normal if your baby is born with this soft body hair. Don't worry, it typically disappears after the newborn stage, but if your baby's lanugo lingers beyond a few months, ask your pediatrician.
