Q.

During 34 week pregnancy my baby is found growth restricted. Placenta is grade 3 maturity. weight 1800g. Bpd 7.61, HC 27.6 cm, Ac 28.0 cm, fl 6.11cm. Is this a asymmetrical growth restriction? Can a balance diet help my baby to grow?

A. Asymmetrical growth restriction is said to be there when there is at least three weeks difference between the babies present parameters and the expected parameters for that particular gestation. If you take good diet especially high protein diet there is a chance that the baby will gain weight better but if the growth restriction has set in then don’t expect immediate changeWrite Your Answer Here
