can I give water to my 3 month baby

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. do not give water before 6 month of age,because Water has no calories but fills your baby nevertheless. This will make him less interested in drinking milk. It could also result in weight loss and increased bilirubin levels

No you should not start giving water to your four months old baby. Baby should be totally on mother’s milk and there is no need to give anything else till six months. Mother’s milk contains high percentage of water which also fulfil the need of water in babies so there is no need to give anything else
