can I add sugar and salt in my 7 month old baby's food items?

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. no don't add ots not recommended till 1 year of age.. baby food must be a single grain food. Always feed freshly cooked food to your baby. Do not add salt, plam sugar, sugar, honey to your baby’s food.

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. A baby’s salt requirement per day is less than 1 g per day like only 0.4g of sodium and this is mostly met by the breastmilk or formula. So any extra salt will be a burden on the tiny kidneys and the kidney’s will not be able to function properly due to the excessive load. This may lead to kidney disease
