#AskThmmeExpert my son is 2 qnd 4 month old. he does not produce any meaningful words and just keep babling and says papa mama etc should we start speech therapy or should we wait

Uma RamMom of a 7 yr old boy3 years agoA. Hello good afternoon !! Is he speaking atleast 50-80words like recognizing things toy, animal ,thing names, responding to commands ,his name, giving eye contact.
If baby speaks less , repeatition if words rhymes, phonics , not responding to commands,no eye contact, cognitive skills then don't delay go for assessment from developmental Paeditrician or child psychiatrist rather speech therapist, after assessment they will suggest you if necessary.
