#Askthexperts my baby born weight 2.8 now she is 4.7kg last one month gain is 500gms is anything serious to get worried about it

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. the minimum weight gain is around 500 grams so no need to worry but it is advisable to continue to breastfeed the child and get the weight and growth assessment of the child done every one month

It is said to be ideal if the baby doubles its birth weight by 6 months completion and triples by one year completion. Continue breastfeeding your baby well on demand for better health, nutrition and hydration. Good luck and take care.
