A. You can continue using diapers while going out until your child is fully toilet trained, which typically happens between 2.5 to 3.5 years, though some children may take longer. Each child develops at their own pace, and it's perfectly normal to use diapers during outings up to around 4 years of age, especially during long trips, crowded places, or when clean restrooms aren't available. Using diapers while outside helps prevent accidents and gives peace of mind, especially if your child is still learning to communicate the urge to go. Many parents also prefer to use diapers during naptimes or nighttime even after daytime toilet training is achieved. Gradually, as your child shows signs of readiness—like staying dry for longer periods, asking to use the toilet, or showing discomfort in a wet diaper—you can start transitioning to training pants or underwear during short outings. The key is to follow your child's comfort and readiness without pressure.
