Q.

#asktheexperts My one year old baby girl hasn’t started walking yet. She can stand by holding onto chairs but never did a step ahead from the spot. Should I worry here or wait for a bit more time?

A. walking with support will come any time between 9 months to 15 months of age. walking without support will come maximum by 18 months of age so before that there is no need to worry and you have to just continue regular diet of the child( food made from cereals pulses fruits veggies milk) as well as babdy massage and regular massage will also help in improving the muscle strength which will help in walking. regular encouragement for the child to walk

A. It is totally normal if the child is standing as of now with support but not trying to work so just try to encourage your child to walk with support and then only a child would learn to walk independently between the age of 12 to 17 months
