A. If your daughter has been diagnosed with German measles (rubella), here are some essential safety measures: 1. Isolate: Keep her away from other family members, especially pregnant women, as rubella can cause complications in pregnancy. 2. Hygiene: Ensure she covers her mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing to prevent droplets from spreading. Use tissues and dispose of them immediately. Regularly wash her hands and yours. 3. Rest and Hydration: Encourage plenty of rest and fluids to help her recover. 4. Avoid School or Daycare: Rubella is contagious, so she should stay home from school or daycare until she’s no longer infectious, usually about 7 days after the rash appears. Rubella is contagious and spreads through respiratory droplets, so following these measures helps prevent the spread. Since you're following the doctor’s prescribed medications, you’re already on the right path to manage her symptoms.
