A. it is in diagnosis of allergic cough cold . here the child will have regular cough and cold which is usually not associated with fever . it increases and decreases but does not get cured completely. dr will give anti allergic medicine usually motelukast / levocetirizine. if its still not improving the next line of treatment will be inhaler therapy with mdi / nebulizer. allergy can be environmental (temperature variation -hot to cold weather/ cold water intake / dust / smoke / pollens) , food , chocolate / packet preservatives food and sweet food also.f body cannot sustain such allergic changes leading to cough cold usually at evening /night and morning. f

A. Frequent colds and coughs in children can be challenging, but there are several steps you can take to help boost their immunity and reduce the frequency of illnesses: 1. **Healthy Diet**: Ensure your child is eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Foods high in vitamin C, such as citrus fruits, strawberries, and bell peppers, can help strengthen the immune system. 2. **Hydration**: Keep your child well-hydrated with water, milk, and herbal teas. Avoid sugary drinks and sodas. 3. **Rest and Sleep**: Ensure your child gets adequate sleep and rest. Most children need between 10-14 hours of sleep, depending on their age. 4. **Hand Hygiene**: Teach your child to wash their hands frequently with soap and water, especially before eating and after using the bathroom. 5. **Avoid Sick Contacts**: Try to limit your child's exposure to sick individuals, particularly during peak cold and flu seasons. 6. **Regular Exercise**: Encourage regular physical activity, which can help boost the immune system. 7. **Vaccinations**: Keep your child’s vaccinations up to date, including the annual flu shot if recommended by your pediatrician. 8. **Avoiding Tobacco Smoke**: Ensure that your child is not exposed to secondhand smoke, which can weaken the immune system and irritate the respiratory tract. 9. **Probiotics**: Consider adding probiotics to your child's diet through foods like yogurt or supplements, as they can help maintain a healthy gut flora and support immune function. 10. **Consult a Doctor**: If your child frequently falls ill, it’s a good idea to consult a pediatrician to rule out any underlying health issues and get personalized advice. If the issue persists, it might be helpful to have your child evaluated for any potential allergies or immune system concerns.
