#asktheexperts my boy 1 yr old boy having cold and fever (101.5) i have given him babygesic and corominic syrup however he is restless in his sleep and taking breathing also fast and difficult to take breath

Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is dorne and according to the type of cough its prescribed. if any fever is tfdhere paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

If your child is restless and having such a problem then take your child to the nearest doctor as of now because without proper assessment will not be able to give you connect a device also the child is too small size better to visit the doctor if you possibly can write now
