Every time the baby is exposed to a virus she gets cold or sometimes fever. But u need not worry about this as she develops an immunity to this virus and will be more stronger as she grows old. So it's very common for infants to catch colds or get fever often. It indicates a good development of their immune system. So as the baby grows older the frequency of getting cold or fever he get will reduce. If it is not reduced even after few years then you should let your pediatrician know about it as the kids immune system may be weak and get some immunity boosters prescribed. Always after six months, include healthy fruits and vegetables and other pulses in baby's regular diet.
Regarding ear itching,
Generally when babies discover their ear they used to scratch it or play with it. Other possible reasons can be due to itching or wax built up in the ear. If none of these seem to be the reason there could be an ear infection and it's good to consult with your pediatrician once.
