Q.

#asktheexperts My baby is 6.5 months old. Started with her solids when she completed 5 months( 6 starting). I started with rice porridge, then with potato mash, sweet potato, carrot, Banana, peas, moong dal etc. Now I'm also giving her cerelac. But nowadays she is avoiding rice porridge and also moong dal puree. I don't add any salt or sugar to eat.. I assume she got a taste of sweets from vegetables and fruits, and hence avoiding rice and dal. Please suggest what i should be doing to make her love rice and dal puree again.

A. See you should be adding all the necessary spices to the food including salt also that is what is going to give proper flavour to the food of the child also I’d like to tell you that this is not the right age for you that you have started giving food to the child it is five months complete right so it is actually six months complete and the beginning of the seventh month so you actually started way too early so in the first place you did wrong over there only but never mind right now you should just add a little bit of sweet and salty to the food for giving proper flavours to the child
