#asktheexperts my baby is 4 and half months old.. she got penta 2 vaccine on May 12th..On her thigh, there's a big hard red lump... should i do something or will it go away on its own.. i was rubbing ice on the area and applying thrombophob but someone said don't use ice too much.. so what should i do.. pls suggest something useful.. it seems like that it hurts her sometime

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. after painful vaccines like dpt which comes with pentavalent vaccine can cause swelling in the limbs which can continue for more than two months also. f it does not require any treatment and should go away on its own. t after vaccination immedtiately you should start applying ice as well as thrombophob gel to prevent such swellings from persisting c
