Q.

#asktheexperts My baby is 3 months premature (born in 26th week )and 8 months now . She still has not made her head static . Shall I be worried about it

A. neck holding of the child should be present by 4 months to maximum 5 months of age. regular massage of the back as well as the neck will help in strengthening the musclesx of this area. if neck holding and head holding is not proper by the end of 5 months it is important to meet the doctor for examination to find the cause of delayed milestones

A. Your child is almost 3 months premature like from the age that your child was born in December around 6 1/2 to 7 months so sometimes such premature kids can take longer time to reach the milestone could be more than two or three months but since you are in a case of doubt I would recommend you to have an assessment with your doctor which physically once they check they will be able to give you a clear response to that
