Q.

#asktheexperts my baby girl is 8 days short of 3 months. She has started sleeping through the night from 12:30-6 am almost. Is this ok? Should I wake her for feeding at night or not? She wakes up just fine and cheerful. She feeds for 30-40 mins at night before going to bed.

A. Hello good evening !! Yes by 3-5 months baby's sleep pattern changes, sleeps at a stretch at night unlike earlier. Set a routine engage in playing (as babies play by moving legs, hands, listening to words engage in morning for a while ,so that baby sleeps at night, switch off the lights or use dim lights ,noise free, gadget free room indicating baby that it's sleep time. Feeding every two to three hours is must,if baby sleeps at a stretch then wake her up by gently patting or rubbing feet, touching ears and help to latch. 2-3.5 hours is ok but not more than 3 hours.
