#asktheexperts my 5yr 4month daughter is born with absent thyroid gland. medication started on day 3 after birth. she was born tiny 2.2 kg......but now she is healthy and active. she weights 20kg and 108cm. she is tallest among her class mates. does thyroid medication causing fast height growth....is it norml for her age.

A. Your child has a normal growth because in some cases parents are taller and have a proper body structure and kids take it behind their parents it’s a normal scenario it’s not necessarily associated with the medication that you are getting
