#asktheexperts My 22 month old baby hasn’t started speaking any words yet other than Mama and Papa. We at home speak to her a lot outside of our working hours and also during our working hours (whenever we get time). But still she hasn’t picked up any other words yet. What can we do here ? Also is it something to be worried about?

A. Hello good morning !! Check whether the baby responds to commands or talks by answering and asks anything with words or using sigh language,direct eye contact. If the baby has no direct eye contact ,not responding with words or showing things instead speaking then need assessment with a Developmental Paediatrician or Speech therapist.
