It is painful of course no matter what delivery you go for it is going to be painful but just with C-section the recovery takes a lot of time and with a normal delivery recovery is much quicker after stitches you need to apply how do you need to maintain cleanliness and hygiene also they can advise you to take sit bath twice in a day that will also help
