#asktheexperts if my hemoglobin is low and my doctor has advised me to take iron tablet two times....after doing CBC test...my hemoglobin has increased till 10....so should I have to continue the same routine for iron tablet by taking it two times a day?

A. Hi Yes, definitely you can continue with the same medication as advised by your doctor. Haemoglobin will improve eventually after taking medication for one month more. You can take more leafy greens lentils beans and some lemon for improving the iron intake

A. Hb 10 is better, but it is still low.please continue taking iron tablets as prescribed by your doctor and consult them before reducing or stopping the dose.

A. Mam you have to confirm with the doctor because then is also less for women also it should be 12 to 13 and generally 12 for is like the minimum so you can take it as per your recommendation and try to include more iron in your food for natural increment of the iron levels
